Welcome to the Farm
2026 CSA now open for sign-ups!
Environmental stewardship, soil health, food accessibility, and community are our top priorities. Our vegetables, fruits, and herbs are grown sustainably without synthetic chemicals or fertilizers, and 100% of our electricity consumption is offset by solar power. We utilize a science-based regenerative approach and no-till methods whenever possible, focusing on soil health as the foundation for plant health.
Frontier Farm was established in 2018 in Carolina, Rhode Island. In 2019, the farm moved to its new home at the Eleanor F. & Edward W. Barlow Nature Preserve in Westerly, Rhode Island. In June of 2020, Frontier Farm officially opened for business as a thriving 2.5 acre commercial farm.
Frontier Farm continuously strives to work in harmony with nature, not against it. We collaborate with the land owners, The Westerly Land Trust, to protect and promote the native flora and fauna of the nature preserve. We believe it’s our responsibility to care for the land we benefit from and understand its history.
“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
— Aldo Leopold
